I saw this on a Forbes list of 10 dazzling holiday diplays around the world, Atlanta Botanical Garden - In Photos: 10 Dazzling Holiday Light Displays - Forbes.

More than 1 million lights cover the 30-plus acres of the Atlanta Botanical Garden this holiday season during "Garden Lights, Holiday Nights." Dazzling walking exhibitions include the Starry Night Walk, which is inspired by Van Gogh's famous painting, and Liquid Lights, a dramatic lighting effects display in the Cascades Garden.

I have never been before, but it looks like fun, Garden Lights Holiday Nights | Atlanta Botanical Garden. And at least you get to walk around. (All the ones I have been to in the past were drive-thru.)

Have any of you been before?
(I'm sure someone om this board has.) If so, did you like it?

It is amazing. A must see in Atlanta. I suggest afterwards to take a carriage ride around Piedmont Park and ice staking at Park Tavern.

It's an excellent Christmas event, my wife and I love it. We go every year half off (2 for 1) by waiting for a livingsocial or sweetjack deal, although I haven't seen one yet this year. Keep an eye out!

I will be going with friends next week. How much time should we allow to see everything? I think we will go on Tuesday so it won't be as crowded. Thanks!

Wonderful - I took a friend and her 10 and 11 year old a few years back. There was enough space they could run a bit ahead and burn off some energy without every getting totally lost in the crowd.

The only line you have to wait in is for the Solarium (I guess that is what they call it). Totall worth it. The line does move but slowly.

If I recall correctly, I would give yourself around 2 hours. You can buy a drink (alcohol, hot chocolate etc)

Oh, that's even better. This sounds worthy of a date night!

I didn't even think about all those sites I was signed up for. I'll check Groupon as well and if I find anything, I'll come back and post it.

And thanks to everyone for responding! I'm glad I asked.

I am planning to go this week and will likelu avoid buying online and just play it by ear as to which to day. Rescheduling is not allowed and I would hate to get caught out on a night like last Saturday was. Well, actually I would not; I just would not go. At any rate, I am definitely looking forward to it.
