Dog racing? Don't even get me started on animal cruelty when dogs are involved. Do a bit of research. You'll see. Back in my younger days, I was a part of a Greyhound rescue group. Dear lord. Most of those folks don't deserve to be here.

This idea/possibility is awful and needs to go away. On levels.

Horse Racing is gross anywhere, as it's basically animal abuse.

And frankly, focus needs to be on taking care of the humans that live in that area. Retail, grocery stores, housing, a sense of community, feeling a sense of safety when walking down the sidewalk, etc. Horse racing will never accomplish that.

Who is the dummy that came up with this idea? Cause it's really the worst.

No matter what the idea is for the site, you can find people who won't like it. Some group will be offended.

BTW I currently volunteer for a cat and dog rescue shelter.

Props to you, absolutely, for volunteering for a cat and dog rescue shelter. You're doing a good thing there.

But dog racing? No way. Let's toss the animal cruelty aside for a minute (it's a VERY real thing), all dog racing makes me think of is the worst parts of Florida -- it's not pretty. I can't see how such a thing would benefit that area of Atlanta and community in any way, shape or form. It would do more harm than good.

No dog racing or horse racing in Georgia. My eyes have been opened.
