Atlanta Braves are weighing proposals from several interesting companies — a few familiar faces and big national players — vying to build the retail and entertainment district around the new Cobb County stadium. Before the $400 million mixed-use project breaks ground, though, it must grapple with the fact that its anchor tenant will be closed 284 days a year, and some Atlantans might be so spurned by the Braves intown exodus they'll boycott the district altogether..."

I'll probably check it out when ever I am able to get up that way to a game.

I may walk through it if I'm bored and in the area.

But I plan on NOT giving any money to the "Atlanta" Braves from here on out. My only connection to the team has now been severed.

If my pregnant wife wants California Pizza Kitchen, we'll just go to Atlantic Station.

If Jeff Fuqua is picked as the developer I doubt it will be something worth me going to. I hope they don't pick him, and if they do I hope it turns out well, but Fuqua has left a bad taste with many in town.

I'll very likely purchase season tickets. How much business I do in the development really depends on what is there.

Depends on what they will have. Cumberland Mall is already in the area though so I don't understand wanting to make it a shopping destination. I fear Cumberland will lose a lot of business though, who knows.

But I doubt I will go up there specifically for their entertainment village. I live near Atlantic Station and honestly, I rarely go over there anymore now that I'm not an LA Fitness member anymore. But on occasion I do go to Dillards and I have been to Regal for movie. I also go up to Parkway Point for movies, if they move that movie theater to the new Braves location and keep the same prices, I would probably go up there for movies.

It has to be like times square with places there that people will go to year around.

Put a ESPN Zone, about 4-5 restaurants, a couple of bars, and maybe it might get a crowd on the regular. But it will have to compete with all the restaurant at Cumberland too, so not sure how well that would work.
