You don't even know him to make such a remark.

I can tell you from my own experiences having grown up in a well travelled family with a mother that is a retired teacher who studied French , a father who is a recent retired V.P. of a university and myself,a retired Air Force vet who has lived and travelled all over the world,I know what is sophistication.

Of course cities like Chicago or NYC offer more of it but to say that Atlanta is not sophisticated can be interpreted as you are not well inverse in what are Atlanta's attributes to contribute anything of substance to the topic.

Atlanta has some of the wealthiest communities in the U.S.,a major city for luxury shopping,a number of top rated institutions of higher learning and one of the fastest growing cities in diversity in the nation.

How you figure it has no level of sophistication is just ignorant.

It means a person whp is living lavishly and better than everyone else.
Like a pro basketball, football ,or baseball player.Hence "baller"

To live lavishly is also referred to as "ballin".

I am convinced that posters who are blind boosters, incapable to agree to disagree get paid to post here. Or is it the Atlanta ingrained ignorance of not knowing what they don't know and indiscriminately lying, fabricating and deceiving posters who need an honest and candid opinion? These 'in-posters' have numerous aliases who are stupid enough to think no one else can tell it is the same person making the same unfounded comments. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Are you all Atlanta residents? Is that the caliber of residents Atlanta houses? Do you dispose of that kind of time to deceive yourselves and others?
I'm not necessarily saying I disagree with your point about Atlanta's culture of ....general disregard for high educational attainment, but you do kind of come off like the type of guy we'll see on the news whining about being a virgin.

It's kind of hard to think of Atlanta as sophisticated when it wants to brag about its cuisine with chili dogs and big orange drinks, and a state that brought us Honey Boo-Boo.
