But there is a charm that goes with these oldies and if they can be preserved I'd like to see that happen. I wouldn't think that re-doing a modest sized two story building would be nearly as challenging as tackling a larger or more complex structure.

From the exterior, at least, it looks fairly solid. I don't see sagging, crumbling bricks or visible evidence of water damage.
