I'm just asking, because when I went today (my first time going there) the food seemed fresher than Kroger or Publix food. I might just start shopping there for grocery. (I'm mainly talking about meats and produce)
Side Note: Never realized how many people shopped at H-Mart. Especially in Riverdale, I thought it was going to be all asians. Also loved all the little shops inside.

H-Mart is pretty awesome! Unfortunately they were always too far away for me to actually use properly, but I did love shopping there if for nothing else than a change in selection. From what I can see (and depending on which Kroger/Publix you're going to) it's not so much fresher as it is just a different selection and specification.

I do a majority of my grocery shopping at H Mart. I think the produce is fresher and better priced than Kroger and Publix. Poultry is sometimes better at Kroger. H Mart wins for seafood selection and freshness. Sign up for their frequent user card and after $1000 points (1 point for every dollar spent) you can receive a $10 voucher to shop with. Just look for the points on your receipt and you have to go to customer service to obtain the voucher. They will also send you coupons in the mail. I wait for the coupons to stock up on bottled water. With a coupon it is less than Costco.

The Riverdale location has a good Korean restaurant in their food court too.

H Mart is a bit too chaotic for me. I am a Sprouts fan.

Well, I can say I'm curious. I don't think I've ever even heard of H-Mart.

LOVE H-Mart! Great prices, awesome produce. Love the cafeteria. Love the samples. It is chaotic, and I have to be in the right frame of mind when I shop there. The chaos is part of the fun

We're considering relocating to the area so this thread caught my attention. We have H-Mart here and was thinking it could be an alternative there, but it is 12 miles away so we probably won't bother. I was figuring on going to Whole Foods, but it seems to be closed?!?!?

Alpharetta Harry's CLOSED | Whole Foods Market

Is that a permanent closure? I see now that it is - though they consider it a "move". But the move puts the market too far from where we would live. Are there any suitable alternatives for very high quality produce closer to the Crabapple area than the Marietta or Avalon Whole Foods stores, or the H-Mart in Duluth?

They only moved 3 miles away from the Harry's. I personally wouldn't consider that too far for a once a week grocery trip.

To the O....

Because of the volume of produce they sell Super H-Mart and similar places have fresher produce
