Hello,

I am 23 and just about to graduate college. I have family in atlanta, and it is possible that i can stay with them until I get on my feet, but i'd much rather my own place. Could anyone tell me of cheap rentals that aren't in bad neighborhoods? I do not have a job lined up in Atlanta, so I will have to find something once I get there so i would like to keep rent low. I would like to live downtown (maybe? is that even a good part of town to live in? i have no idea?) Any advice at all would be helpful. A one bedroom $600 or cheaper would be ideal. I am thinking that I can quickly get a waitress job untill I find a real job. I am not super picky as long as the area is safe.

Thanks!

Stay with family and stack your money until you get a good job if they let you and aren't crazy. You will benefit in the long run and be less stressed while you look for work.

There's no dignity lost in living with family. I still live with my parents. I have the excuse that I'm waiting to go off to grad school but that wasn't in the plans last summer or fall.
