I like the change of seasons. Love Summer, Spring, and Fall. And Winter? ...well it's just long enough for me to really appreciate the other seasons!

I think this is the first time I've ever heard rain described as a problem.

It's like being in Panama City.
Texas and Florida are why A/C needs to exist.

I came from California where I really loved and appreciated the climate but I do not think the weather here is too bad.
There are days in the summer where the heat and humidity don't cut it for me but there is always a break a few days away. It seems like the weather doesn't seem to linger for weeks on end. The same goes for the winter. It can snow one day out of the year but in a few days it's like nothing ever happened. We have constant changes of extreme to comfortable days that you just have to wait out. Contrary to popular belief we don't walk around sweating all day unless you are doing yard work or another strenuous outdoor activity. It's much hotter and more humid in other southern metro areas like Houston, Miami, Orlando, New Orleans etc.
All in all we get about 8 months of good weather and sunshine and I enjoy the change of seasons.

Atlanta's winter was terrible. It was still cold, just not cold enough to have snow. And it rained freezing rain a lot.

I give Atlanta weather a 7 on a scale of 1 through 10.

My biggest gripe is that Atlanta weather can be unstable and unpredictable at times. Will take it anyday over Midwest and East Coast weather.

At least we don't have the threat of hurricanes

It doesn't stop there - Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and if you prefer roasting to sweating Arizona.

And I don't know what has changed in NYC over the years that caused so many places not to have central air in the first place, but I have been there in the summer and it gets pretty friggin hot.

A significant number of NYC's buildings pre-date central air, and installing it is pretty expensive.

This has been one of the mildest summers I can remember. I counted only one day over 100 degrees. And I'll take our hot and humid summers and occasionally cold winters over blizzards, wildfires, and hurricanes any day.
