I wouldn't choose Vinings or Smyrna if you are looking for great schools. There is a reason so many parents in this area send their kids to private or move to East Cobb when their children are ready for school.

I would go private and have the shorter commute

That commute sounds like a living hell to me. The only way you could get me to do that commute everyday would be by helicopter.

I agree, but today I got from Johns Creek to Cheshire Bridge Road faster than I got from Cheshire Bridge to Inman Middle School. So, sometimes the actual intown part of the commute is worse than the outside of town part.
