Anyone know what's going on? There have been numerous low-flying planes in Marietta this evening. Way more than usual.

There was a blimp overhead for most of the evening... Saw it earlier and heard it (very distinctive sound) a short while ago. Apparently it is promoting a movie, supposedly the new Peanuts film (stands to reason if it's the Met Life blimp).

Thanks, Evannole! Yes, we noticed the blimp first. (I'll have to google the sound, but I bet that's part of what I'm hearing) It was pretty far off in the distance, but so brightly lit--my kids thought it was a UFO
Well, they thought it was fun to pretend it was a UFO.
Then I noticed all the extra planes and wondered what that might be all about. I think your idea is a good one. Thanks again.

Saw the blimp yesterday afternoon, and figured it was some promotional thing. Couple low passes from Dobbins in the evening as well but nothing too unusual, although it doesn't seem like they train as much as they used to.
