I wish this was a joke....

Quote:
A proposal in the state Senate would dedicate a portion of Old National Highway in South Fulton County as the new “Creflo Dollar Highway,” a nod to the prosperity preacher’s influence as what the proposal calls “a world-renowned Bible teacher, a sought-after conference speaker and a best-selling author, with hundreds of books, CDs, and DVDs in distribution worldwide.”

Officially filed as Senate Resolution 805 and sponsored by state Sen. Donzella James, D-Atlanta, the proposal on Monday got assigned to the Senate Transportation Committee, which over the course of the next several weeks will consider dozens of local road-naming requests as part of regular business at the state Capitol.
A path to prosperity? Georgia may get a 'Creflo Dollar Highway' | www.ajc.com

But renaming roads is a Georgia tradition and one of our favorite local pastimes.

For a greedy con artist scammer who bilks the poor and ignorant masses, for millions of dollars for a tax-free private jet? Would be more appropriate to name a f*cking urinal after this man.

A+++ to all of the replies above.
What an aggravating & pathetic idea this is.
Donzella James is the sponsor of this proposal so please call her at either her Capitol office or her district office to make your viewpoint known on her effort to get a portion of Old National Highway renamed to honor Mr. Dollar.

Senator Donzella James contact info:

Could you imagine if Philadelphia had a Bill Cosby Avenue, or if Lamoni, IA had a Bruce Jenner Road? There's already a Mark McGwire Highway in St. Louis.

We really need to stop renaming roads after people who are still alive. Cynthia McKinney Parkway is ridiculous enough; we don't need a Creflo Dollar Highway to go with it.

It's only an honorary naming, but still stupid.
