Had lower back surgery and have been out of the loop on this site. Is this the only formal thing going forward as far as annexations and/or new cities? What about the Atlanta annexations into DeKalb, both the one south of current Atlanta in DeKalb and the Druid Hills area to the north? What about the big chunk down to Camp Creek Parkway in South Fulton? Any traction here? Is Sharon Springs in Forsyth DOA? Stonehaven? Greenhaven? Lithonia?

Greenhaven is dead. Haven't heard about any others. Guess they just passed the most absurd one of the bunch, the one with boundaries looking like paint spilled on a canvas.

Stonecrest, sorry got my geological suburban monikers confused. I remember Lithonia proposing a massive annexation that would take in much of what would be Stonecrest. I guess that has failed.

Really interested in the Atlanta expansion into DeKalb. Anyone have any info on that?

I'm hoping that if that took place, it might remedy the problems taking place on Fulton Industrial.

Someone posted on here that Lithonia's annexation was favored by 1 person-the mayor. None of the council was interested-and it probably didn't make financial sense.

Not if it forces the majority of the people in Sandtown and Loch Lomond that do not want to be apart of this into something they don't agree with this concept. You don't force people that do not want to a part of something into something they don't agree with.

Deal should veto it.

I'm ok with them incorporating-if it has boundaries that make sense in the long term. This is insane. When parts of it develop instead of being vacant land, it will be an extraordinary mess.

Precisely, this is some bull created by Roger Bruce meddling ass, that trifling LaDawn Blackett Jones, and Bill Edwards foolish ass. They all are just doing this because they know Atlanta will be able to annex all of Fulton Industrial because the city owns multiple parcels along the corridor upon the Georgia Supreme Court ruling, Sandtown, and Loch Lomond areas because those people want into the city proper. Some people are just so vindictive and fool-hearted and you have followers and sycophants that will believe anything without reading the fine print.

Here's a little known fact that about this proposed municipality that only those in Sandtown and Loch Lomond knows already hence why they want no part of this, your property taxes will triple if not quadruple upon incorporation to support this void of sufficient revenue entity.
