It seems just like every other kind of lane meant for something other than cars, there is 0 enforcement in this city. The mayor keeps harping on transportation progress (bus lanes, bike lanes, etc.), but the cops don't enforce the laws even a little bit in these lanes.
Well if you aren't in the area a lot, its not very clear. I turned out of Atlantic Station one night and found myself in a "bus" lane.

OMG! I hate when I'm in the rightmost left turn lane and someone in the leftmost left turn lane doesn't stay in their lane and tries to force me into the bus lane. How hard is it to follow the dotted lines that guide you into the proper lane? People are f'ing stupid!

I also agree that the bus lanes should have those flexible separators up until it becomes a turn lane.

Has anyone ever wondered why the AS shuttle bus when leaving AS has to stop at that light right before the bridge?? And the same coming from the other way?? Since cars are turning left I don't think the bus should have to stop at that light since they have their own lane

Great point. That's another reason why that lane needs to be physical barrier separated (by flex posts or whatever), so that lane can safely have its own light right there. Or just a permanent green arrow.

As it is now, with all the people not following the rules with that lane, it would be too dangerous.
