Kronberg Wall Architecture is seeking a permits to build out 22,300 square feet in the warehouses for Monday Night Brewing and new decks for outdoor seating and drinking. It’s part of a much larger planned project on the Beltline that would also include manufacturing operations, along with tasting and tours for local brands such as HoneySuckle Gelato, cheesemaker Southern Aged and Doux South Pickles.

The project is an adaptive reuse of warehouses along Lee and White streets just south of Interstate 20. It would connect to the Westside Trail and serve intown Atlanta neighborhoods such as West End and Adair Park.

Dallas–based Stream Realty Partners is developing the $30 million project. It sits on one of the largest pieces of land along the Westside Trail, with a half-mile of trail frontage and 426,000 square feet of warehouse space. So far, the team has leased 80,000 square feet.

This is really really exciting...great to see the Beltline love being extended to the Westside. And also much kudos to MNB etc for backing this at an early stage.

University Ave property up for lease, after Great Dane trailer company is moving. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gr....4092277?hl=en

In question is seven acres with a 55,000-square-foot facility currently occupied by trailer company Great Dane, which isn’t the most exciting use.

It’s a Frisbee’s toss down the Westside Trail from where Dallas-based Stream Realty Partners is building an adaptive-reuse project called Lee+White (to be anchored by Monday Night Brewing) and a pilot urban farm initiative.

Oooh~

That is a good-sized lot that could fit some decent Mixed-use along the streets and trail.

That is great, but they are going to need to buy the apartments next door too. That immediate area is too rough around the edges to attract any market rate renters. I wouldn't live there as is.

But once those apartments are gone, that area is going to improve RAPIDLY

Not familiar with the area at all....if they were to build new apartments there where would one go for bars, restaurants, groceries etc? Are they close?

There are some projects already planned along the Westside Trail (or at least one of the top of my head) that would provide that kind of atmosphere. Further developments could bring more, including this one.

Technically this is in Adair Park, which is I guess a gentrifying neighborhood, future wealthy neighborhood. But, Metropolitan Pkwy I think is still generally considered a pretty rough corridor by most. Though definitely nowhere near the scariest.

This specific complex is pretty rough. While technically part of Adair Park, it is way more Pittsburgh-esque. Which, IMO, is one of the more "scary" neighborhoods in Atlanta.

I remember looking for houses in Adair Park and being concerned that the Beltline would now make that complex more connected. Sounds kind of bad, but I wouldn't want a connection from that apartment complex to my street.

O, and the only thing you could easily walk to as is from here would be Gas Stations and Jamrock Jerk Chicken. Walkability is not good now, but hopefully will improve. The experience here will be nothing like the Eastside trail for a long time to come. But that is fine as it should make for more affordable housing.
