True, and maybe it doesn't matter to you or me. But I assure you that it matters to a great many other people.
"Outing" Norwood as a Republican (or even suggesting it in this very disingenuous way) could cause her the damage necessary to boost Lance-Bottoms' numbers. Simple but effective.

She isn't 'outing' anyone. People have been claiming Norwood is a republican for 10 years it isn't anything new.

Norwood is Norwood. She really doesn't fit any labels for today's parties. She's very socially liberal, slightly conservative fiscally. She would be a good for for Atlanta I think.

How is Keisha Lance? What are her thoughts about crime, gentrification, police, schools, the beltline, and transportation? It's amazing how lacking some websites are on specifics.

Yeah, and now you can add Keisha Lance-Bottoms to the list.
You keep skirting around my point, which is that attaching that 'stigma' to Norwood is what Lance-Bottoms is trying to accomplish by suggesting herself as 'The' Democratic Candidate in the TV ads.
She's confident that she'll go to a runoff with Norwood, and although (as you correctly stated) this is a nonpartisan election, Lance-Bottoms would like for voters to perceive it as otherwise. If she succeeds, she wins.

You realize Peter Aman already said he was the Democratic candidate? In fact he was the first candidate to say he was proud to be a democrat. You seem very behind here.

Not at all. I'm sure that every candidate in this election wants to be perceived as a Democrat by the COA.

I noticed this, too. The rest of them seem to have their positions laid out pretty clearly. Lance-Bottoms focuses more on her career and experience.

Yes you did use my words and I stand by them. I am fine if you disagree about my thoughts on Mary Norwood, but to assume my opinions are based off some bias due to sexist or ageism makes for garbage discourse.

Nobody needs to be "called out" on their opinion of a candidate. Debate is fine, but acting like you are the authority on accurate perceptions of candidates is BS. My opinion has been formed solely by the candidates responses, so don't tell me I am using poor judgment when I say she seems to have a problem connecting with constituents.

Accomplishments are important, but, IMO, a mayor's ability to be relatable and empathetic are critically important. And based off her responses, I think she will have a hard time pulling that off. Sorry if you don't agree with that. But that is my impression, so there's no need for you to "correct" it.

She also emphasizes her modest origins and her struggles to climb to her present situation.
