Arguably, she was not “forced”, she chose to promise to return campaign contributions from a crook. Stuff like that happens in campaigns. She may not be guilty of anything.

However, the folks doing the bribing certainly have/had a lot of incentive to keep as much of the current administration in place as possible. Lance-Bottoms is/was their best chance of that.

Our mayoral candidates are supposed to pretend to be neutral about Trump for what reason? You think Trump's government is going to award federal funding for projects in our city? Or any city, for that matter? The Trump administration exists only for his family's personal enrichment and to enable a new generation of American oligarchs.

My question was:

So what does Donald Trump's behavior/proclivities have to do with running the City of Atlanta?
Our mayor could be the biggest "resister" to Trump but if he/she is grossly incompetent in leading the CoA, they have no business being anywhere near that office. I am not going to determine who I vote for in this race based on whether or not they're "woke" on this issue.

Is that the Mayor's wife? I didn't know she held so much sway.

I don't think I will be following Kasim's recommendation, but I haven't completely ruled her out.

Well, most of the ones on Freedom Parkway are now gone, and maybe the corner gas stations are big supporters?
