Our needs have unfortunately changed lately and a close proximity to the specific hospital is a must. Finding an affordable good school community in the area will determine whether we make the move from the northeast or not. We both work from home. We have 3 kids that will be in Elementary middle and high school so good schools is also on our list. Maximum house budget $350k. We are an ethnically diverse family and like that in a community. Also area with a YMCA or a similar facility as all of us like to exercise often...basketball, tennis etc...any suggestions are appreciated...thank you

Laurel Ridge Elementary in the Druid Hills Cluster--good elementary, Middle and high get mixed reviews. (possible Druid Hills annexation to Atlanta may drastically change Middle and high for better or worse).
Lakeside cluster--I think that most of the elementaries in this cluster are either ok or good.but, and the middle and high are better than Druid Hills, homes may be too pricey--
Tucker Cluster--some good elementaries, Middle and high are probably perceived to be lower than Druid Hills, but I have no idea.
Parkview Cluster-- furthest out, but commute should not be that bad by Atlanta standards. Elementary schools range from pretty good to very good, middle school and high school arguably best on this list (close to Lakeside in quality,at least). Along with Tucker, probably has the most affordable homes, outside of Shiloh.

Shiloh Cluster similar to Parkview cluster in distance--perceived to be a notch or two lower in quality--Parkview cluster is more diverse in every which way, while Shiloh is probably more African American-- guessing homes may be cheaper than Parkview.

From what you said, the Brookwood cluster is too far out, but if nothing else works for you--the cluster is excellent.
