Maybe to dumba**s like you two. If you travelled a bit outside your inbred areas you might realize that there are lots of aquariums around the world that international travelers have already seen. In all honesty there isn't much special in Atlanta to see if you are a seasoned traveller.

Tupac however is world famous and his garden is not a commodity like all Atlanta's attractions are. It could actually be a big attraction in years to come.

I travel all over the world and often people have not heard of Atlanta or confuse it with Atlantic city. However in even the smallest towns people know who Tupac is.

I am not getting the hostility toward Tupac.

He may not be from here but this is as good a place as any to honor him. If I am not mistaken he did have some contact with the ATL.

I don't recall Robert E. Lee having much to do with Atlanta yet a giant statue of him is carved on Stone Mountain.

Dude you sound a little retarded. Go get on a plane and fly to most of the world and they haven't a clue where Atlanta is let alone anything Atlanta is famous for. All they know of the US is NYC, LA and maybe Miami. Then again reading your comment i doubt you have a job that pays enough for a long distance flight………...

In all the time that I spent in Europe, I can't ever recall having to explain where I was from. Europeans and Asians usually associate it with Gone With The Wind or the 1996 Olympics.

Agreed. I am an Atlanta native living in Glasgow Scotland. People know where Atlanta is when they ask where I am from.

Atlanta has tons of original attractions you can't find in other parts of the country or the world. You are talking about the tacky tourists areas of downtown, which every city has. World class museums, Piedmont Park, MLK Historic site and birthplace, two of the oldest and most prestigious Historically Black Colleges in America, etc. Lots of things you can't see just anywhere in Atlanta.

BTW, the Georgia Aquarium has whale sharks that you cannot see just anywhere else. And the World of Coca Cola is another thing you can't see anywhere else in the world. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean somebody traveling from the UK wouldn't find it very interesting.

2pac actually lived in Atlanta between 93-95, he never really spoke about this in his music but his interviews and people who knew him well will confirm this. It makes sense to place a statue of him in the area

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qB5_mHC9bBk - first home in the metro area
