"A $500,000, 1,000-pound, 7-foot bronze statue of the late West Coast rapper Tupac Shakur will soon be placed at the former home of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Atlanta.

The center closed in 2015 but new property owner Jim Burnett, who renamed the site the Peace Garden Park and Amphitheater, said he wants to carry on the legacy of the slain rapper’s mother Afeni Shakur, who founded the center and lived down the street from it, by “creating something nice for the community and the children who live in it...”

This is good news. Funny but true, I am originally from the UK and when I have visitors the majority would much rather go and see Tupacs s**t than generic stuff like World of Coke or another Aquarium. Atlanta need to spend in areas that are unique to the city IMHO.
