I walked to West Egg Cafe and then went to Piedmont Park. What a fantastic day!

Lucky you!!!!!

It's about to get even better!
Rain coming up .I love the rain here.
Mainly because I can sit on the screened back porch and pretend I'm in the rain forest. Or sit on the front porch and watch the rain through the hills.

We've had a great Summer, imo. The first half of June was cool and misty/rainy as well. Living 1,000 feet above sea level in this part of the Country definitely has it's advantages.
Yea June wasn't bad at all. It didn't really get humid til July

A total of 23.9 inches of rain fell on Atlanta from Jan. 1 through June 4, according to a report by the planning district. That’s 2.72 inches more than the 30-year average. It does not account for heavy rains in June and July that were cited by the National Centers for Environmental Information.

It's been very humid lately, but that's more the norm this time of the year than the pleasant mid-80s earlier this month. It's usually not until mid-September that we get rid of the humidity.

This is also the time that the Gulf and Atlantic begin to heat up with hurricanes. Somethings tropical storms and hurricane moisture from the Gulf comes directly over Atlanta. Afternoon thunderstorms are very common this time of the year.

I hope this stretch of rainy weather will continue. Drought makes me super anxious.
