I like Nuevo Laredo Cantina. But it is Tex-Mex.
Well, you know more than the owner, I suppose.

I really like the Mexican at Plaza fiesta. There's a spot near the back side entrance with great flautas. I also like the Torta place in the food court. We really like this Mexican grocery store near us called El Tio market in South Cobb. We tend to like authentic Mexican and a lot of people like more Tex-Mex or American style which generally uses more cheese. Other than this we really like gourmet Mexican like Superica at Krog Market and Bar Taco in Inman park. I think it's all personal preference. I swear the best Mexican food I have had in years was this Tex-Mex place at the Denver airport so go figure.

This annual list always misses a Buckhead classic: Jalisco’s in Peachtree Battle shopping center. Excellent family run business. Has been there since the late 1970’s I believe. They make their own salsa and it is hot!

This thread is proof people will get offended by anything these days. Anything.

I just saw Tacos Linda Vista on the way to golf the other day. I'm in that area for golf a decent amt. Will definitely hit in the future.

El Rey is my favorite. Las Tortas Locas in a pinch. Our neighborhood spot (not too close) is Los Bravos and it is pretty decent.

I'm surprised they didn't mention Taxco, man that place is a good spot as well and been there for years! I haven't been in a while but use to go years back and it was always good!

Not sure how to classify this small place attached to a 'Mexican' grocery; it is great though. Downtown Cumming, La Zacatecana Taqueria

I just got back from a trip to Oklahoma City. One day I had a Tex Mex burrito for lunch and authentic tacos from a family owned mexican restaurant.

Both meals blew away anything I've had in Atlanta. You can get decent Mexican food east of the Mississippi river, but the really good stuff is out west for sure.
