There was also that odd connection with a seafood restaurant called Cap'n Pegs. Two or three of the victims had some connection there, and Williams was known to have hung out there with teenage boys and claimed it was his business address.

Did anyone listen to Payne Lindsay's podcast, "Atlanta Monster"? It presented a lot of theories, and Wayne Williams is a very fast talker and very slick, but very odd and I wouldn't trust him behind a dime. I think he committed quite a few of the murders, but not all of them though.

It received a full page in today's print edition, including front-page coverage. Very good article.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the killings stop with Mr. Williams' arrest?

For the most part yes. You have to remember at the time from 1979 to 1981 Atlanta was battling Miami for the murder capital of the United States and even overtook Miami one of the years.

After listening to many podcasts, reading many articles, and watching several documentaries on the subject my position is still it was impossible for Wayne Williams to have killed all the children and it is also impossible he killed none of them. The idea that Wayne Williams was 'framed' and innocent of any killings is ridiculous. ID Discovery has a great 3 part series that interviews just about all the APD officers and detectives and the FBI officials involved in the case. There has been a lot of misinformation, exaggeration, and fables put out there regarding this case over the years. The fiber evidence used was very real so was the dog hair samples from Williams family pet. You also had eye witnesses that said Williams tried to abduct them either in person or tried to lure them into a car. Some of the murders are likely linked to Jamie Brooks who was the manager of a laundromat (later died of AIDS while in jail for rape of a child). The murders of LaTonya Wilson and Angel Lanier according to their own families they were likely killed by other family members. Here is a link to a recent 3 part documentary that is very good.

Some contended that killings and disappearances continued but that they were hushed up by law enforcement and the press.

However, I don't know whether that ever got beyond the conspiracy theory stage.
