I'll be relocating to Suwanee from CA in a month and bringing my motorcycle. I figure it's a good way to ease the traffic burden (In CA, I can lanesplit between stopped cars, so bumper-to-bumper traffic isn't usually a problem.). I'd like to know what roads, etc., constitute a pleasant ride.

P.S. Yes, I know lanesplitting isn't legal in GA. I am currently working on getting that changed and am having a surprising amount of good luck with your govt. system (I expected government officials to be hard to deal with, but one of your legislators has indicated that GA--with its Atlanta-area traffic problems--is already well on its way to making lanesplitting legal...woo hoo!).

For a good motorcycle ride, you may have to get out of the area a little bit. I'd suggest riding up toward Lake Lanier around Flowery Branch. You could do a loop up highway 13 or 23.... try that area. Also, you could just go up 985 towards Gainesville and pick an exit... for the longer rides you can go 985 then follow signs to Helen or Dahlonega

Having a motorcycle will give you access to the HOV lanes too.
Providing you can make it to the HOV lanes on your bike without getting killed first
Cali they drive dangerously, Atlanta they drive like they are nuts.
