Pretty much December 26, 2019 will be the worst day of driving in many cities according to AAA.

Totally agree with you! I saw the news report and then this thread earlier and just smh. I mean, we have had the Super Bowl and everything else. We have a day after a major holiday when a lot of folks are off work, schools are shut down and they want to say traffic will be bad?

I've said it before and I will say it again, surveys are just justifications for someone's job and then a way to "sell newspapers".

It wasnt a survey. They used historical data from INRIX, the traffic company to come up with the traffic data.

75 was bad as usual through the Southside. GA DOT underestimated the amount of traffic heading south vs north for the express lanes.

Seriously. We arrived at the airport at 3:30 or so, picked up our car, and drove home with literally no traffic at all. Then we left home at 5:30 to go out to dinner. Usually, getting out of our neighborhood at 5:30 is practically impossible. But, I didn't even have to wait to turn left. There was nobody on the road, and we zipped to dinner in mere minutes in an area that is usually highly congested at rush hour.

Exactly..... i had to be to work at 4:30 but left my house at 3:30 (normally at 45 minute commute from Douglasville to Inman Park) i got there at 4:06 like hi I'm early LOL......and parking was abundant in that area which is rare for a typical Thursday!!!!! I need to apply for their jobs so i can just make up stuff

You are right as rain about I-75!
It was gridlocked southbound as I approached it's interchange w/ Ga. 138 near Stockbridge.
Ga. 138 was gridlocked as well west of I-75 (as I approached it heading eastbound) & on east up ahead of me which made me glad that I was only venturing slightly past the 138/I-75 interchange.

138 through Stockbridge is regularly a tough spot to navigate through and is complicated by the fact that it also has an interchange w/ I-675 only 2 miles away from it's interchange w/ I-75 which regularly makes the 138 Stockbridge stretch one of the worst passages of roadway on the southside.
As a matter of course we have crossed off going to Stockbridge at certain hours of the day but the problem can occur at any time and seeing I-75 gridlocked southbound is not unusual.

My own cardinal error was in forgetting to check the metro traffic page before I left the house which is an absolute no-no!
