No varsity sports. No travel team sports. Intramural though. You can’t be all things to all kids if you’re specializing to a degree.

And I’m only talking about the Alpharetta school. I don’t know what others do.

And while the school also has a regular curriculum, Wheeler High School in East Cobb is one school that comes to mind as a school with a stellar STEM magnet program that features a varsity athletics program But Wheeler High School is of no use for someone who will be living and working in Alpharetta.

Intramural Is Fine.... Great !!
Though I played on my H.S. Football and Golf teams... in college I played all intramural sports (had no time with all my science and lab classes to continue with all those practices after school classes... intramural was fine !
As long as students can play organized sports if they want.
My son plays all sports and I coached them all... now I just stick with coaching futsal.
He will play organized soccer in a local Atlanta league as well as futsal league.. but other H.S. sports intramural... Great !
