Both are great but cater to altogether two different lifestyles which would have a major impact on where one should choose to be.

For me, Peachtree Corners. I like downtown Norcross. Not to mention not super terribly far from Avalon either. Close to Perimeter area, Buckhead, ATL, I-285, P.I.B and slightly served better by transit (although we’re splitting hairs here). Im in tech and the jobs in my particular field are mostly between Downtown and the Northern Burbs so there is that too. If I were in the filming industry, Porsche, aviation or worked at the airport though Peachtree City would be the better choice.

This is an excellent question.

For me it definitely would be Peachtree Corners.

But I admit that I am super-biased towards Peachtree Corners because I’ve got friends and family that live and work in the Peachtree Corners/Norcross area, including friends and family that work at and have graduated from Norcross High School.

In addition to being super-biased towards P’tree Corners because of my very strong personal ties there, I also like P’tree Corners because it’s located on the side of town (the Northside) with the most amenities, including loads of high-quality retail; restaurants; bars and nightclubs; historic downtowns like Norcross, etc. (like Need4Camaro mentioned); parks and recreational areas, etc.

And I like P’tree Corners because it is located closer to the Blue Ridge Mountains than is a Southside suburban jurisdiction like P’tree City.

I also like P’tree Corners because of the overwhelming racial/ethnic and socioeconomic diversity there. With the demographics in the ‘majority-minority’ city ranging from highly-affluent residents in large million-dollar homes on the banks of the Chattahoochee River to the numerous apartment complexes filled with working-class and transient residents along corridors like P’tree Corners Circle and Holcomb Bridge Road.

Meanwhile, while P’tree City may not necessarily be my cup of tea personally, I do really appreciate what the community brings to the Atlanta outer suburbs (particularly Atlanta’s Southside suburbs). And I do kind of wish that P’tree City was as much of a magnet for retirees as a development like Sun City/Sun City West outside of Phoenix in Arizona or to more of an extent that similar developments may be magnets for retirees to the south in a state like Florida.

P'tree corners and P'tree city are completely different. P'tree City is in the middle of nowhere. It is a nice, affluent area, it is safe w/ tons of golf cart paths. There is no city center. It is great if you work for Delta or another company south of the city. P'tree Corners is a northern suburb right outside of the perimeter, north of Dunwoody. It's nice - it is a suburban feel. It is closer into the metro area, so you have more access to amenities.

I probably also should add that much like P’tree Corners’ Northside location puts it closer to the Blue Ridge Mountains than a Southside suburb like P’tree City; P’tree City’s Southside location puts it closer to the beaches of the Florida Panhandle and the Gulf Coast than a Northside suburb like P’tree Corners.

Peachtree Corners, close to all the places I want to be. Peachtree City is too far south and away from the Korean cuisine I love in Duluth.
