Chantarelles across from the Krispy Kreme in the West End- I think its Hatian or Creole food, not sure which one but I know it tastes good

Figo Pasta on Collier Rd or the one on Howell Mill Rd- very good pasta at a good price

Mr. Everything on MLK in front of the AUC- the best Italian Beef Ive ever had outside of Chicago. All of their food is greasy and sloppy but its all good

Two places I have tried recently. One was new and one was a "rediscovery".

Little Azio Pizza and Pasta. I ate at the one in Midtown and it was fantastic! Some of the best pasta I've ever had. They have about 10 locations around Atlanta.

Thai Chili on the corner of Briarcliff and La Vista. Many years ago there used to be a Thai Chili near our house and we ate there alot (in the restaurant and as takeout). We loved the place and were very sad to see it close. Last weekend after Stomp we ate an early dinner at Thai Chili, and I rembered all over again why I loved it. Thai Chili doesn't do "super spicy" thai (unless you ask). Their sauces are so fabulous that they don't need to be "thai hot". Excellent!

Good Eats on Ponce de Leon, great jerk chicken, vegetables and other food.

Bonefish Grille, great seafood, in Alpharetta.

The Varsity, great hot dogs, onion rings, frosted orange drink, etc. Located at North Avenue and 75.

We'll be celebrating my husband's birthday with friends at Cafe Lily tonight. This is a delightful bistro with a devoted following for those that don't know it. It is located on W. Ponce de Leon in downtown Decatur.
I also wanted to recommend a new place in downtown Decatur, Parker's on Ponce (in the old Mick's location). We had a great meal there last weekend.
Time to get on the elliptical...

I was never a fan of catfish or hush puppies until I found Six Feet Under on Memorial Dr, just west of Boulevard. It's absolutely the best. I hate that I wasted my weekly dining out trip on cheap fast food chinese last night.

Well, there's Mexican and there's Mexican. Some of the best Mexican (or Tex-Mex really) I ever had was at a restaurant on Shepherd in Houston. The place was a real hole in the wall with sweaty waiters in undershirts showing off their tattoos. But the food was absolutely fabulous.

Now if you want a really nice restaurant with a pleasant dining experience and great Mexican food, I can recommend No Mas Cantina on Walker St. It's not quite south of I-20, but close. Most of the mexican and central american population is along Buford Highway, so I don't think you will find much on the south side of Atlanta.

In Johns Creek my favorite Mexican is El Potrillo at Jones Bridge and Abbott's Bridge. They have opened a second one somewhere on Holcomb Bridge.
