I will be moving to Atlanta in a couple months for a job that is located in Lithia Springs. I want to live around that area, but have no idea about the quality of neighborhoods around that area (i.e. Austell, Lithia Springs, Mableton, etc.). I want to stay with 15-20 minutes from my job which is located around thorton rd and I-20.

If anyone can help me on this, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!

Also, if anyone lives in that area and has advice on good apartment complexes, please let me know! I'm just looking for a one bedroom that accepts cats and dogs and is 700 or less per month.

Thanks!

Contact promove.com. Lots of people on here have used them and rank them highly at being able to match people up pretty well with places.

There is a Wesley Apartment complex (I think they have many locations) right on/off Thornton Road, 2 or so blocks from I20. Try them. OR ask your new employer what is appropriate.

I would automatically select Douglasville for you. It's about 10 minutes from Thornton Road. I lived in Lithia Springs( off Thornton) before we purchased a home in Douglasville. Douglasville has about everything. All the box stores and chain restaurants imaginable. There's a nice mall with a movie theatre inside. Only thing is I'm not sure about the apartment situation there. But that sort of thing is easily researched.

Is your job in Lithia Springs hiring? I would love to work that close to home.

Thank You. I will check it out for sure. Not liking my manager's conniving ways too much at all.

I'll second the Douglasville recommendation. I spent a lot of years in apartment complexes in Douglasville before finally getting a house. There are several complexes around Ga. Hwy 5 at I-20 (about 10 miles from Werner). Brook Valley and Wesley Pond are the two I lived in. There are some newer complexes in this same area ... Arbor Terrace is one that looks nice and I think the rent would be in line with what OP is looking for.
