Totally agree...there is nothing comparable to N.C. barbecue. Dusty's by Emory is pretty good, and Barbecue Kitchen on Virginia Avenue just off I-85 in East Point is good.

To each his own but they've done a BBQ taste test with recipes from every region and the Carolina style Q came in last.

Daddy D's! Located at Hill street and Memorial Drive. Very unique place. Not corporate at all, which is a plus to me!

My favorite is Ribs 'N Blues in midtown. It's on 5th street right across I-75/85 from Georgia Tech. Great BBQ and of course sweet tea too

Who is "they"? Which "Carolina style" did "they" test? There are a couple of different ones...Lexington style is the one I was refering to.

Best BBQ is the world in in NC, vinegar based of course. There is a great place in Atlanta down near Delta Airlines HQ that has great NC style BBQ. The Big Pig is what it is called I think.

JR's BBQ at the Dekalb/Gwinnett line on Peachtree Ind Blvd at P'tree Corners Cir has some of the best BBQ Chicken, Baked Beans, sweet tea and log fries. Hard to beat Fat Mack's on Piedmont for ribs though!!
