Hi guys, just had a few questions as I'm relocating to atlanta for work in mid-june. Does anyone know of any nice apartment complexes around Piedmont Park except for the Post properties?

I'm also looking in the Inman Park area and was wondering whether it was safe - I really liked the Highland Walk apartments there!

Thanks so much!

Did you check out Highland Steel too? It's the same developer. It's located just a little closer to Inman Park Village.

And yes, Inman Park is safe. I run past this place all the time. I run down N Highland and Elizabeth often and never feel uncomfortable.

What is the best way to find a house for rent in Inman Park?

Try craigslist for starters.

Yes, craigslist is your best bet for renting a house just about anywhere in ATL.

I haven't yet but it was definitely on my list - do you know how they compare with the Highland Walk apts?

Honestly, I don't...

However, if I had a choice between (noting that I have never been inside either complexes), I would chose Highland Steel for the following reasons:

1. Nicer location: you can walk to more restaurants and shops. Although Walk does have some nice restaurants too. I just like the selection at Steel better.

2. Even though the two complexes are just a few blocks away from one another, Steel is a nicer neighborhood IMO.

Check out the neighborhood websites:

I'm also looking at 450 piedmont and waterford on piedmont (~750 piedmont ave.) - does anyone know how this location, which is more in midtown, versus Inman park compare? Both of those apts are better deals, but i'm wondering about safety, walkability, things to do???

I am actually viewing this two properties coming week and wanted to know more about the safety and accessibility to shopping/restaurants from these properties. I am moving from Houston this weekend and hence a newbie when it comes to Atlanta
Any help will be appreciated
