Atlanta CityPass: $69 for adults | ajc.com (http://www.ajc.com/health/content/travel/deals/stories/2009/05/11/clara_atlanta_citypass.html?cxntlid=sldr_hm - broken link)

Summer’s the time for gifting grads and dads (Fathers Day is June 21). So here’s one great gift idea that will please everyone! It’s a CityPass for the hometown of Atlanta.

An Atlanta CityPass, valid for nine days, is priced at $69 for adults - a 43 percent savings off of regular admission rates to these top attractions:

- Georgia Aquarium: Expedited entry including Deepo?s 4D Theater

- World of Coca-Cola: Next available timed entrance for general admission

- Zoo Atlanta: General admission

- Inside CNN Atlanta: One studio tour

- Fernbank Museum of Natural History: General admission & special exhibits

OR Atlanta Botanical Garden: General admission & special exhibits

- High Museum of Art: General admission and Louvre Atlanta OR Atlanta History Center

For a gift-giving idea, give one CityPass to your grad or dad — and then purchase another CityPass to accompany them on a day of fun and discovery. The CityPass is transferable, so possibly mom will go along for a day of sightseeing - a brother, sis or cousin the next day - maybe a best friend or school pal on another day of fun - and so on. That way everyone gets to make memories. Isn’t that the best gift ever? But remember - a CityPass is valid for nine days from the first day of use.

Each ticket includes a secret tip on how to skip the main ticket lines as well as the best times to visit each attraction. Experts at National Geographic Traveler magazine include advice on off-beat places in town you might not know about to enhance a day out-and-about.

Also included are coupons and special offers such as buy-one-get-one appetizer or dessert when you buy an entrée at The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View - the revolving upscale restaurant and cocktail lounge at 73 stories high for 360 views of the Atlanta skyline. Discounts are also offered for an Atlanta Preservation Center Historic Walking Tour.

A CityPass for youths ages 3-12 is $49, regular admission rates are over $88!

An online and mobile edition of CityPass is now available with specific content for sightseeing in Atlanta with concierge-style recommendations on the best places to shop, play and eat. The mobile application is free at http://wheretraveler.com/mobile/cp

No problem! With as many tourists and people always asking what to do in Atlanta I thought It would be nice to inform people of their options and the City Pass is definitely the way to go!

The sad thing is, at a lot of these venues (where you can buy them), they don't try to promote it very well. Most people are unaware of the CityPass unless they go to the actual web site for these places which do tend to mention it. The employees at them don't seem to push it more.

Good job providing the info.

I didn't know about it, either. This is the perfect thing to get the next time my folks come to town. Give them a quick all-around of the city.
