I am a single parent of three beutiful biracial children i am hispanic my childrens father is black. I have heard a lot about Atlanta Georgia being black or white rich or poor and the school system being a challenge as far as finding one with quality education. But my best friend who is also hispanic and also has biracial children tells me its a great place to live. And that there are a large range of schools to choose from. I was so excited at first but now i have a bad taste in my mouth i dont want to live in a place that feels like a planet rather than a home. Can someone please let me know something

Well there's a wide variety of areas in and around Atlanta. If your just looking for a great place to raise a family there are plenty of places to choose from. There's a sticky thread at the top of the Atlanta forum page about moving to Atlanta. You should check that out. It has good suggestions on details to mention so others can have a better idea of areas to suggest to you.

Gwinnett county would be a good area to start looking at. If you want to be a more diverse area there are plenty of cities in Gwinnett to look at. The county school system as a whole is fairly well rated although some high school districts in the county are better than others. Just look around on the forums for what other people have posted about various areas in Metro Atlanta.
