Any ideas? L.A. had Lamps Plus stores all over the place. Medium sized stores with lights hanging all over the ceilings and walls, offered at good prices. They had circulars every week in the Sunday paper.

Does Atlanta have anything like that? Or is it just Home Depot, Lowe's and one-offs?

Thanks!

Start at Masterpiece Lighting on 14th Street in Midtown. They have a very large showroom with knowledgeable sales people. Progressive Lighting has multiple locations and large showrooms, but the sales people are much less informed and I always think they are more interested in builders than homeowners.

Circa Lighting in Buckhead is a great source for some high end, unique fixtures. The showroom is small, but they have a great website and catalog.Circa Lighting | simply brilliant

Finally, if it is lamps you are looking for, you can't miss Lamp Arts on Howell Mill Road. The showroom is incredibly cluttered, but I promise if their is a shade or a lamp part that you are hunting, they have it in there somewhere!

Those are all much better options than Lowes!

If your up for a drive if you live downtown, go north of the parameter and follow Peachtree Industrial 141 just about to Buford just north of Sugar Hill. There is a lighting store there, rather large, and nothing but lighting

Not sure if you know this already, but Lamps Plus has a website that you can order from: www.lampsplus.com.
