Congratz to Collier Heights!!! And thanks for posting this info. People often sing praises for Northcrest, and it is well deserved. Collier Heights seems to be overlooked or unknown for it's MCM architecture. I've always thought it was a gem not identical to Northcrest, but with the same mid-century goodness without feeling like a time capsule.

Again, thanks for the info. Your posts are one of the few reasons why I still visit this forum.

Thanks, Mr. Simpson...I was wondering where this was going. Hopefully it will bring added recognition to a great neighborhood that deserves it.

Thanks for the kind words davesm. I always enjoy your posts, but had not seen any recently.

As for the designation, I heard someone talking about this the other day. I checked the National Register of Historic Places website, but only found the application. After calling D.C., I was told , while the website had not been updated, the approval came down on June 29th.

Sure enough, this morning, I found the neighborhood's website. It had the info, after all.
