Can anyone please let me know anything good/bad about Roswell?

We are looking to buy a home in Crabapple parc community i Roswell area, 30076, and want to know if there are any negatives about that area?

I thought the schools are ok.

Also, I was trying to investigate, if there is anything wrog with homes in Roswell, as why are they priced lesser than similar homes in alpharetta?

The homes in that area are older (early 1990's), on pretty small lots. That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them. The biggest issue you may have to deal with is the traffic. Crabapple Rd, Rucker Rd, and Arnold Mill (Houze) are your exit roads to get anywhere, and they all can get very backed up in the AM and PM.

I live right down the street from Crabapple Parc! Crabapple Parc has several subdivisons clustered together that are similar. We live about a mile away in a sub with larger homes on larger lots (ours backs up to a city lake). There are multiple neighborhoods on our main street (Etris) that are similar. Further up the road are even larger and more expensive homes in some gated and non-gated subs.

I also lived in Alpharetta near North Point Mall. I like the Roswell area better, though we consider the two to be "sister" towns. Roswell has a better downtown IMO, but both are just one-street little guys. Alpharetta has a lot of newer developments, although at this time everything I've driven through in both areas has slowed down or come to a standstill.

There is a new shopping center, Sweet Apple Village, across from Crabapple Parc and the elementary school. It is a wonderful design... not the same old box strip mall. It just opened and is slow taking off due to the current economy, but is so nicely done that I hope it does very well.

I like my area because all the typical shopping needs are close-by. Grocery, Target, Trader Joe's, Home Depot, Pike, etc. It's very convenient so you're not driving a lot. Alpharetta has those same conveniences with the mall and stores in adjoining strip malls, but no Trader Joe's which we love.

Hope that helps. I know there's lots more to share so just ask and I'm happy to oblige.
