OK I've read different blogs about Atlanta. I'm a single 38 yrs old Black Male. Straight. Not on the down low or anything else. I have no problem with the choices others make about their lifestyles. Everyone should live as they choose. I'm moving to Atlanta and I'm finding hard to pick were I should live. The condos in Midtown seem to be the best deals compared to Buck head...but will I be typed casted by woman because of where I live? I will be working near Atlanta airport in College Park. I would like easy Marta access to and from work. I have a car just don't want to fight traffic everyday. So can someone please tell me where is the best place to live.i.e. Less crime, easy access to nightlife, Shopping, and the Marta

I would think that the ladies would be very happy that a single straight man was living in their building All kidding aside, Midtown is not "restricted" to any one type.

Perhaps if you gave us more information such as budget, number of bedroom and baths and if you would prefer a high rise or a low rise building - we could suggest some places to you.

Best of luck to you!

There are lots of straight people living in Midtown, so pick the best location and condo for you and don't worry about what others think. Make yourself happy.

Thanks for the input. I can most likely afford anything they have in Midtown. Looking for a 2 bedroom 2 bath at least 1200 sq ft. Must be a very secure building with secure parking. I travel allot and want to be sure anything is safe while I'm gone. Also I need to be within walking distance to the Matra.

Are you looking for a high-rise, townhome or mid-rise? There should be plenty of options for you based on your requirements.

AQUA Midtown is one of the most secure buildings in Midtown despite one of it's residents being murdered in her unit. The perpetrator was trying to rob some units pretending to be a Buyer. The concierge was willing to escort the "Buyer" to the victim's unit. Key fobs are only programmed to stop on your floor and open up to your unit. The elevators are semi-private so you need to go to a specific elevator to get to your unit. There is also a high speed full vehicular gate where residents cars are parked behind. There are some foreclosures in the building that make it a "good" buy. The condo fees are high because of the services/amenities.

Luxe - Midtown Atlanta Condos - New - Overlooking Piedmont Park is first high-rise on Piedmont Park in the last 20 years.

I received an email that 1010 Midtown : Life on the Curve has adjusted their pricing. I have not been back since the price adjustment and change in sales team.

May Ren - Home Page (http://www.mayfair-renaissance.com/outside_home.asp - broken link) is also very close to Piedmont Park.

Mid-rise, I like The Dakota - Home Page. I have sold a townhome that is located on the third floor and extends up to the fourth floor. Residential parking is gated just like the other buildings.

Of course there are many more recommendations I can make depending on your wants and needs.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. Let me add a little more information. I want to lease for 6 months or a year before I buy. By then I'll be sure where I want to be. I'm looking for a secure 2 bedroom/2 Bath high rise condo $1500-$2200, in Buckhead, Atlantic Station, or maybe Midtown. I only know what I've heard about MidTown. Someone said 05 Buckhead and Realm were good Condos

05 Buckhead is a luxury high rise apartment. O5 Buckhead offers a choice to those living in Atlanta who expect luxury, yet prefer the freedom and convenience of renting.

Realm is a condo building. Realm Condominiums, a condo development in Atlanta
