We moved here about two years ago and I have been painfully looking for a stylist. I can't seem to find a stylist that fits my needs. I'm not looking for something crazy and I'm not looking for Walmart. I've tried two places here locally and they were total disasters. Does anyone have anyone they recommend? I just need someone that has a bit of talent with layering (not razoring) and color. I looked for reviews online, but so many of them are obviously inflated by the business leaving positive reviews or even worse, arguing with the negative ones.

A little help please?

OMG! I'm gonna stayed glued to this thread! I moved here about 5mos ago and I cant find a stylist either. I'm about an inch away from just walking up to people on the street and asking "who does your hair?"..lol I've been home coloring my hair, which I hate doing but I'm in dire need of a cut.
I dont mind paying a little extra if I get a good cut/color, but I'm kinda scared to try the places that are toooo cheapy. Nothing grows slower then a bad haircut!

A friend of mine goes to Halo in downtown on Broad street, I can't remember the specific girl she goes to though. She really likes the way they do her hair, they really take the time to make sure it's right. The downside is that they are a little expensive. I wish I could remember the girl's name there though.

I use Tangles in Evans. I really like the staff and the facility. Unfortunately, I don't color my hair, so I can't give any recommendations about that.
