I noticed the land next to the BI-LO shopping center (behind Wells fargo and Advanced Auto) on Tobacco Rd is being cleared. Does anyone know if there are plans for that land?

Work is underway in the Windsor Square shopping center and the bulldozers are on site. The Krispy Kreme and Chick Fil A have broken ground...

The property adjacent to the Post Office is also being cleared to make room for new construction..

I was in town Monday and saw DD. There were somethings I didn't like. First, why no DD/br combo? Second, the location. Why put it so far from 520? I can't see DD making it.

Really..take DD and put it on 56 and there's no problem. There's more than enough traffic. Not many people work on peach orchard. Who are the customers? The folks in that area eat krispy kreme not DD. After the newness of DD wears off, that place is gonna be gone. Firehouse, might make it. We all know chick fil a is gonna make it. Also, whatever happened to five guys and fries openning up there and why no cookout? Yet, there's a cookout by steak and shake.

Peach Orchard Rd is much busier and not to mention the fact more people live off of that road and can stop by DD on their way to downtown. As far as Cookout, it is rumored to be a part of the redevelopment of the center that includes Chick fil a but no official announcement has been made...however the other just opened not to long ago so I think we should be a little patient.

Was also wondering why no BR combo, maybe because DQ's practically next door. I think DD will make it as long as KK stays away from Peachorchard, there's something about the Hot Doughnuts Now many can't resist besides RCSO south precinct should give DD plenty of business.
