Either South Augusta or the urban core(CBD/Medical District) but not in West Augusta or North Richmond where this property is going..

Don't forget about the Costco in the Village at Riverwatch..

I wonder if it could be Lidl.
Augusta might appeal to them especially since Augusta has a number of both active and retired military who might be familiar with the company already.

The US headquarters is opening in Virginia and this could be another possibility.

Harris Teeter tried to enter the Augusta market but failed...can't see them trying again especially not around so much competition.

I don't think that's enough space for the typical Ingle's Market. 3 acres isn't enough room for a typical larger chain grocer. The footprint of the Kroger across the street would almost completely cover the parcels in question here before you even consider parking and space for deliveries. An Ingle's store isn't quite as big, but certainly not enough room there for one with parking and room for deliveries as well. It will be either a specialty grocer like Trader Joe's or Vons that I mentioned, or some sort of small format grocer like Lidl that's been mentioned. I don't see Aldi locating in such proximity to their other locations. Lidl only requires as little as 0.8 acres for a standalone store.

Not enough space for one anyway, now that I looked at it closer.

Harris Teeter is a division of Kroger, which is already present in the Augusta market. If Kroger wanted upscale stores that are not Marketplace hypermarket stores, Harris Teeter could be probable. I think most new Kroger stores would be in the Marketplace format.

Most new Ingle's stores are around 80,000 square feet located on sites between 10 and 15 acres. Ingle's Markets has become active in new store construction, inclusive of additional stores, rebuilds and replacements.
