Hi I really need everyone's help who is familiar with the city of hephzibah. I am planning to re-locate to Augusta this year, and I need some advice. I plan to work in burke county when I re-locate. I like the diamond lakes neighborhood since its a gated community. I need 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Can someone please recommend any more nice areas with low crime in hephzibah or somewhere close to the area.
My price range is..$185.000-$ 210.000...Thanks

I wouldn't consider that a low crime area. Consider Goshen Plantation or even places further South on Hwy 25. The subdivision you are referring to is new and affordable...but not in the best area. Also consider McBean on Hwy 56.. it's very close to Burke County.

You can easily find a home in Goshen PLantation in your price range.. It is a well established neighborhood, very safe area and homeowners take great pride and care in keeping up their homes and yards. If you are a golfer, Goshen has a golf club. If you are going to live in teh South Richmond County area, then I would recommend it as the top choice. The area around Tobacco Rd, especially between Windsor Springs and Morgan Rd and be dicey.

The only downside is the proximity to the paper mill.. which can really create stinky situation a cpl of times a week.

That area around Diamond Lakes actually is a safe area. As long as you stay south of Tobacco Rd for the most part you are in a safe area, the only exception being Fairington and even then not a lot goes on. My parents stay in Walton Acres out that way and it's very quiet and they haven't had any problems or heard of anything going on around there. They have nice homes out there as well that are still being built.

It will be intresting to see Hephzibah and Grovetown in the future. To see who won in growth for their city.
