I know the city needs to save money but cutting the bus sytem further is not the answer. For a city as large as Augusta, it provides very minimal public transit and now they are talking about eliminating all weekend bus service. There are many elderly and disabled people who rely on the busses and have no other alternative. A city as big as Augusta should be able to atleast provide a basic public transit system. reliable public transit is a big selling point for business and it improves the quality of life. The bus system needs to be expanded not cut back. What do you think?

I forgot to add that in addition to elimating Saturday bus service they are proposing raising fares by 50% and eliminating transfers.
