You think these folks aren't watching the internet... or maybe even C-D? I heard this ad on the radio yesterday. Pretty friggin' clever IMO.

Remember the fuzzy bears talking about the iPhone 4?

YouTube - Mike Buys a Condo

Now, here is the version with live voice actors that they are playing on the radio:

Anyway, I thought it was a neat ad and idea. What do you think?

That was hilarious, reminds me of a few conversations with my wife. "Don't annoy me with reason"!

" You are against sprawl, but you hate tall buildings"! Sooo Austin!

Hilarious. And yes, it sounds like some of the exchanges on this very site.

Just curious that if they are selling so well on their own, why exactly do they need an advertisement like this?

The most successful products in the world need advertising not only to increase the number of sales but also their sale prices.

The sprawl/tall buildings comment was great. As in do you have a third ivory tower alternative?

I heard it on 590 this morning & about choked on my toothpaste cuz I was laughing so hard! That was even funnier than the e-Trade "milk-a-holic" commercial!

Definitely only in Austin!

LOL. It reminds me of Coke and Pepsi. Poor guys, their buisness is doing so terribly that they have to resort to cheap ploys like advertising to sale their beverages. I am sure those companies will fold ANY day now. I mean, once you advertise, isn't that a sure sign that you are in trouble?

You've never heard of PR? Big companies do this all the time even if their products already have plenty of sales through word-of-mouth.

I liked the radio ad and thought it was good that it pointed out the hypocrisy and NIMBY mentality of so many people in Austin. The "I don't care" guy reminds me of a bunch of the posters on this forum.
