Relocating to Austin. Will be commuting to North ( 183 / Mopac area ).
Wondering if there are areas around Austin where can get a house with > 1 acre of land - good school system ( 10 and 12 year old ) - budget up to 370 K and still be commutable ( < 45 minutes ). Am I dreaming ?

Liberty Hill and Leander may have what you're looking for, but the commute may get longer as more people move out there.

I'd avoid IH35, and focus on 183. Some of the realtors here may have much more info for you.

Check out Brushy Bend Park and Spanish Oak neigborhoods - they are located east of Parmer Lane, north of Brushy Creek, south & west of 3406.

Look at it for yourself on Google Earth (Brushy Bend Park, Cedar Park Texas) - big acreage lots (2-5 acres) - most of the homes were built in the 1970s to the '90s. Some folks keep horses there.

No more than a 25-30 minute commute in rush hour traffic to 183/MoPac area.

Very good Leander & Round Rock schools in that area.
