I am really embarrassed to admit than I never figured out what your name meant - although now that you spell it out, it is so obvious.

Mine is just part of an email address I used to have.

Totally juvenile......I got p*ssed off at a particular Moderator of a particular Forum (not Austin,) and decided I No Likey him or that forum. Please don't hold that against me! I'm owning up to it and it's kind of humiliating because I've decided I'm kind of stuck with this moniker I wouldn't have ordinarily chosen.

Hey...you're forgiven .
Back in Atlanta(the center of the universe for league tennis), you couldn't go a day without spotting a store, vanity tag, or 'nickname' using 10s for 'tennis'. 10SNE1?, 10sPro, 10SPlaR, NE1410S?, etc. NOT so quickly recognized here in Austin.

That's too funny - I thought maybe you were Hawaiian! I was looking at the N. as an initial for your first name and Olikee as your last name ...duh!

As for my moniker, Dr. Mom is a nickname my girlfriends and I have for each other. There's a very close group of us who met in the hell known as grad school and we're all middle aged moms now. Some of us work in the home, some of us out of the home, but we're all Dr. Mom.

I'm quite embarrassed by my lack of creativity in my name. I'll do better next time.

CptnRn - thought your name was Ron

10scoachrick - didn't know that was tennis

N.Olikee - love it!

My favorite thread so far! Thanks for starting it.

When I started my retirement career as a naturalist, I worked at our local Audubon sanctuary, and we all used "nature names." The first time I was asked what my nature name was, I had not even thought about it, but since my first name starts with G, I thought of grasshopper, and that stuck. When working with little kids, I used to wear just a pin that was a grasshopper as a name tag, and it worked great.
