So we get a bill from Texas Power saying our bill is now overdue and please pay blah, blah. The bill due is double what the last months bill was to the penny. When I called them and said we already paid the last bill, (and it was not late) and I'm not understanding what this bill is they said, "that is your new bill and it's the same amount as last months". Seriously, what are the odds your electric bill is going to be the EXACT, (to the penny) amount as your last months bill? Wouldn't that be an astronomical odd or is it commonplace?

Is the consumption amount in KwH the same? That would be long odds. Much to my surprise my electrical usage was slightly less this last month. I had expected it to be higher.

Does the bill have a meter read date? I wonder if this is one of those cases where the electricity company doesn't actually read the meter each month, but goes off an estimate.

I agree, it is odd. I've never had the exact same bill 2 months in a row.

Yes, there is a meter read on the back, "current" and "previous" but kWh both the same. Anywho, to stray...whenever I want to reply to a post, sometimes I have to re-log in. Strange day indeed.

My neighbor just pointed out that the number of days in our meter readings was only 29 this month as opposed to 32 last month. That explains my difference.
