Anyone have any opinions on this new development? Just curious as I haven't heard much about the houses on Vista Ridge in Cedar Park.

Its a very convenient place to live...great schools near the neighborhood. Vista Ridge High School has a beautiful campus. Brushy Creek Park is close by if you like to jog, hike, bike or kayak. The tolls are nearby, too. I just have a hard time with the prices! But I guess its like that everywhere in Austin...new home prices compared to what they were just a couple of years ago....YIKES!

Well I think you'll have problems no matter who the builder is. I know a couple of people with $500K+ houses and they have leaks and flooring issues as well!

According to my realtor hubby -

it's mostly KB Homes, which we are not general fans of but he says they are doing some nicer things as far as construction out there. However, if you like gas to your appliances (dryer, cooktop) KB doesn't offer that. Not a lot of 3 car garages if that is important - and it ends up there are lots of cars in driveways. The garages are super tight. Lot sizes are decent and there are good trees.

You pretty much can't enter the Silverado Market for under $220K or so unless you want less than 2000 square feet.

Good location to toll roads and to schools/shopping. HTH!
