I heard there are fewer trees in Tera Vista than Behrans Ranch,Cedar park, and Bent Tree and Plantation area. We can find home to buy in our price range in both east and west of round rock. But currently inventory is limited.
I like a house in TeraVista West Facing home and no trees. Would my energy bills be on the higher side ?

From what I've noticed just driving through, there are many, many more homes without shade trees than with in Teravista. It is certainly something I would take into consideration when looking. We paid a bit of a premium for our lot that includes a half-dozen very large trees that protect the house from morning and late day sun. It's not just an energy bill concern...the interior of the house can suffer from too much direct sunlight, possibly damaging floors, furniture and accessories. Sure, you can block the sun with window treatments, but if all other things are equal(they never are, of course), I would place large trees near the very top of my 'must have' list. Just my .02
