They did have a few moving trucks in the lot.

Good luck!
Bummer! No rooms available for my dates

I'm also going to suggest kenneling your dogs. We kenneled our dogs and cats for a couple of days when we moved here. I felt that it was safer for them to be at the kennel than at the house with movers going in and out all day. In fact, our realtor warned us that her dog got out and ran away during one of her moves.

My pets are travelling with cages. So, they are not going to run around... I'll arrive about 5-6 days before closing for walk-through inspection... So, we have to stay in the hotel for this period of time. And my biggest worry is about the truck with our stuff sitting on the parking lot for 5-6 days... I'd like to find some safe location where I can actually sleep by night

I found a Super 8 Austin North University off 183 and I-35 that allows to park trucks and allows pets for small fee of $25 per stay. Is this area safe?

183 and 35 wouldn't be the safest choice you could make, imo.

Pets stay free at Motel 6 hotels throughout the US. However, their studio hotels charge anywhere from $10-50 per pet - according to their website. I always stay at Motel 6 hotels when I travel with my dog. Visit the official Motel 6 website for rules regarding staying there with your pets.

There's one in Cedar Park in-between Parmer/183 that I personally would choose over the ones near downtown. Probably safer and quieter and with a bigger parking lot.

Clarifying pet fee at Studio 6 motels - $10.00 per day pet fee to a maximum of $50.00 per stay at Studio 6 locations.

Apparently, one of the worst areas in the city: High-crime neighborhood in North Austin gets boost in police presence

Apparently LaQuinta has pets friendly policy, no charge, no fees. Found one in Round Rock South, off I-35 exit 252. How safe that area?
