I am looking for a new light for my foyer and chandelier for the dining room. I'd like to find someplace that has a bigger selection than Lowes and Home Depot but isn't outrageously expensive. Any suggestions?

Tried a Google search but didn't help. Lots of lighting available online, but it's really hard to tell what the finishes look like on a computer screen.

Do an online search for Lighting Stores. Lights Fantastic, The Lightbulb Shop and the lamp store next door, and Lighting Inc. are all on North Burnett, and it's easy to hit them all in one trip.

The light bulb store and the lamp store next to it won't have ceiling fixtures, I think.

D&W Lighting (now that I remember the name) makes and sells chandeliers, and I once found a ceiling fixture that was exactly what I wanted at The Lamp Store, when it was the very last place I checked.

Anyway, they're next to each other, and five minutes from Lights Fantastic, so it's an easy add to the tour.

Thanks, guys. I knew about most of the ones on Burnet, but I thought they were really pricey.

From Atlanta to Austin, I've personally never heard of a good lighting store that wasn't

My Darling, an ASID interior designer, likes working with Legend Lighting:
Legend Lighting - traditional and contemporary lighting store located in Austin, Texas
and
as long as you're cruising Burnet, check out LightingInc.
Lighting Inc. - Houston, Austin, San Antonio -

Most people never think about paying something other than the price on the sticker. At Lights Fantastic on Burnet I have been able to get 20% off just by asking. I bought two table lamps and said I want a better deal. They won't always concede a discount but the higher priced the item the more they will give.
