I thought I was having a particularly bad mold day (or coming down with a cold) even though I was only outside here and there to run errands... until I checked the counts. Not only is cedar registering, it's building. I was really hoping to make it cedar-free until Christmas....

For those who suffer, I sincerely wish us all well.

It has already been showing up in the counts for several weeks now. I had a really bad time last week.

I saw that in the history... I didn't recognize it because I had had a really bad cold and assumed it was all virus-related.

I understand. It can be really hard to tell sometimes. The congestion from an allergy can quickly turn into a sinus infection/cold.

Cedar has been here for a couple weeks. I've been feeling it for sure. Last year was a bad one, and I think this year will be even worse. Thanks to all the rain we've gotten recently, the trees are healthier and therefore will be pollinating more. Ugh.

I was absolutely miserable the past few years. This year I started using nasal sprays since late October and so far it's been ok. Touch wood!

The hill country is a great place to visit, a horrible place to live. Stay in the city, or east of 35 and you'll be okay.

Default Experts warn to expect unusually bad cedar fever season

Experts warn to expect unusually bad cedar fever season | www.statesman.com

Quote:
This fall’s rains were very good news for amorous mountain cedars and very bad news for you if you happen to be allergic to the scourge tree’s pollen. It’s started earlier and it’s expected to be worse than usual because of the wet weather. But look on the bright side: You’ll only be miserable until February.
